4 stars = Great! Might re-read.

This was so fun! It's both the story of Kirk as well as a bit of the story of Star Trek. Includes spoilers for TOS movies and really missed an opportunity by not including episode information in some end notes where they referenced key Trek moments so readers could go watch the episodes. Does not reference the roles Lucille Ball or MLK Jr had on the cast or the series, maybe because the focus is supposed to be Kirk moreso than the series. Does reference Kelvin timeline. Great illustrations. Overall it's a lot of fun!

Scooby Doo is my life (I mean the original theme song is def my ringtone) but I know I don’t know everything about the history of Scooby so this was a fun read. The beginning almost lost me because it skirted around history and felt a lot like a Yu-Gi-Oh episode with too many references to the power of friendship but I definitely learned a few things and although I’ve seen 85% off all Scooby shows I skipped over some of the modern ones so I may have to go back and revisit.
