I started off loving this series, loving the snark, the humour, the characters, the narration etc but the last few books have grown darker and more depresssing. It's still well written and funny in places but the dark mood of the stories and wondering from the first few pages how many of the good guys are gonna lose their liberty, their powers, their lives or just change into someone totally different and turn on each other just leaves a feeling of futility and depression. Can't please everyone I guess.
