** 4.5 stars ** Abby Jimenez writes stories about people who feel real and deal with challenges that are steeped in emotion. I always laugh as much as I want to cry and Emma and Justin are two of my favorite characters of hers. I love their banter and humor. I literally laughed out loud multiple times. There is a lot of emotion in this book and I felt some of the issues with Emma’s mom and the end of the book felt rushed. I would have liked a little more detail in resolving these storylines. Overall I loved this book, I alternated reading the ebook and listening to the audio. The narrators did a great job and I highly recommend this book.

An incredibly on the nose representation of how we can suddenly recognize the impact of our childhood traumas on our adult selves and relationships. The most real and relatable love story I’ve read in a long time, maybe ever. I will feel hopeful for days with this story on my mind
