I feel like the first volume set rules and then volume two just completely ignored them. The story can be hard to follow and seems to jump a lot

Eimi is amazing and the only reason I’m still reading the series. I just want the best for her!

Not great. Chapters felt like they were out of order or missing something. One of the worst endings on a manga I’ve read. Overall, it’s an easy read but not really worth it. The main character is cute, but that’s not much

This is absolutely hilarious. Eimi moves to a dorm to finish high school because her parents have transferred elsewhere. Which means...dorm hijinks! Sneaking over to the boy's building, apprehending pervy old pantie thieves, finding out that suzu has a shameful secret fetish...completely bizarre. Of course I loved it.

More dorm shenanigans in volume 2. First they throw a festival involving sexy outfits to raise money for the dorms. Wanibuchi has been made dorm president (because the dorm presidents always have to be male?? and are appointed, not elected??) as punishment for staying out all night and tending bar and walking around with his shirt off too much.

Then Misao's younger sister, Yutaka, shows up and we go into a tangent about her unrequited love issues with a dorm superintendent, who is old and also an asshole and a degenerate gambler. for some reason he agrees to sit tight until Yutaka becomes legal. (??)

THEN Eimi becomes homesick and refuses to leave her bed. not even for snacks. Wanibuchi comes by and cheers her up with flowers and by telling stories about his childhood in Mexico with his grandfather, and also taking his shirt off. (just kidding.) Having gotten out of bed with a greater understanding for Wanibuchi's character, Eimi accidentally dumps a vat of beverage over the already unreliable dorm television set, and for some reason brings it to the bar where Wanibuchi works, arriving just in time to...see him with his shirt off!

And then the dorm gets cockroaches. can't wait for volume 3!

the dorms are both taping promotional videos to attract new residents. a cute dude named shimonuki (who eimi immediately dubs 'simone') is in charge of the boy's video, and helps eimi out when she is put in charge of the girl's. she ends up with a lot of shots of snacks and wanichin-- sounds like something i'd do-- but simone falls for her. eimi's friends, who unfortunately play a very small part of this one, encourage her to hang out with simone, but eimi is so clueless that she doesn't realize he likes her. she continues to tail wanichin, even spending time with his girlfriend, and it seems that she reminds wanichin of his little sister. the bizarre story continues...

this book taught me that, in manga, nosebleeds are used to symbolize powerful lust. OMG. awesome.

the last volume in the series and i have no idea what happened. seriously: this one does not make ANY SENSE AT ALL.
which i guess was the case in vol. 4 too. one she stopped focusing on the dorm-girl hijinks and tried to make it a tortured love story, things went downhill quickly.
