This is a cute book which takes all the myths about animals and turns them around. First you get the myths about animals, such as black cats, and then you get the real version, with what black cats actually do.

It is a good list, not sure why, as some I hadn't even thought about being bad, such as a seagull, or a camel.

Fun book for kids to learn about animals, and perhaps get more curious and looking to find out more.

Some of the animals included
*Camel
*Scorpion
* Creepy Birds
* Jellyfish
* Centipede
* Slug
* Anglerfish
* Opossum

Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.

A children's graphic novel jam-packed with informative facts about many of the animals that the typical child may find scary.  This would make a great bedtime read or a fun book for any kid to check out on a visit to the library.

(NetGalley ebook -  I received a complimentary advanced reader copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.)

I loved the illustrations; the animals look so menacing on the pages with incorrect animal facts and then they are so cute and fluffy on the pages with the correct animal facts.
I always love books like this because they share facts with children in a fun way.
I still think centipedes are creepy, you can't change my mind on that one. I was surprised you didn't include the creepiest bug of all, the earwig, yuck.
All in all, a fun book about some misunderstood animals and insects.

This was a very cute little book, and I really enjoyed how the author addressed the common misconceptions about the animals before debunking them. The illustrations were adorable and the book as a whole was really enjoyable to read.

Side note: I still don't like spiders, but I'm very reassured by the debunking of the myth that we swallow spiders in our sleep. That was something that really freaked out when I first read it, so I'm really happy that it's not a legit thing (and if it is and the author was lying for children's sakes, PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME).

These animals are tired of us talking bad about them. One at a time, each animal shows us the negative stereotypes about them in a colorful two-page spread, then shows us their true colors on the following pages.

I am so excited about this book. It's bright, funny, and unique. Readers of all ages can benefit from it, but it would do best with grades 3-6. I will be purchasing a copy for my public library.

I received an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

Fake news is nothing new, and not only human suffer from it. This is a collection of animals who have bad reputations, which is often based on untrue or highly exaggerated superstitions. To help overcome the stigmas, an overview of all the bad stuff per animal is given, followed by information to put it all in perspective.

Lovely book with nice and cute drawings that might teach children that there are always two sides to each story.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Each animal gets a two page spread about why people think they're bad, followed by a two page spread about why they're actually good, plus some fun facts. The illustrations are excellent - the illustrator does an amazing job of depiciting each animal as both bad and good.

There are a few I'm not sure are a great idea - spiders in Australia really can be quite deadly, and I don't want my kids to think big dogs they don't know are safe, but we have so many book that infantilise and anthropomorphise dangerous animals, at least this book provides some balance!

Lovely book that continues the trend of looking at animals considered to be a nuisance, ugly, etc. and informs us of how they are useful or admirable. Great format, first showing all the negative stereotypes and then the positives over the page. I also note that a page couldn't be found for mosquitoes. I just KNEW there were no positives for those killer critters!

This book is really informative about a lot of animals that we consider "bad," but in reality they do what they were created to do and a lot of them are not harmful at all. The illustrations are wonderful and even though I wouldn't use this book for a storytime since there are so many word bubbles on each page, it is a really good book if you want to learn more about these animals.
