Laugh-out-loud funny, and surprisingly informative re-telling of the stories of the Egyptian gods, of all varieties. Delightfully rude (if you're into that sort of thing) although this can make it hard to recommend to all readers as a result.  Loved it. Learned a lot. Makes for wonderful reading and re-reading with over the top, colourful artwork, beautifully penned by Hamish Steele.

Hilarious, irreverent, with great cohesion and pacing. The character design and personalIties make it fun and easy to follow. Will read again and recommend to anyone interested in mythology.

I hate the word "irreverent" but it perfectly describes this book. If you've ever wanted an illustrated version of classic Egyptian mythology where the gods say things like "my areolas are pretty bangin" and call each other "stupid fucking butt plugs," boy howdy do I have the graphic novel for you.

If you're looking for a silly but technically accurate story about Egyptian mythology, featuring liberal use of the word "humping" and the phrase "absolute cock", Hamish Steele's Pantheon is THE book for you. It does a great job at pointing out how ridiculous Greek myth is, but it neither made me laugh, nor engaged me in said ridiculous stories.

I enjoyed the concept, and the art, but the humor's execution just fell flat for me. And without the humor, there's not much purpose to this book.

I don't laugh aloud at books often, but this was one of the funniest graphic novels, if not books, I can recall that made me snort, giggle, and yes, even chortle until tears leaked from my eyes. The humor is extremely vulgar and definitely not for everyone's taste, but if you like the ridiculousness of accurate Egyptian mythology, well designed graphic novels with purposeful and stylistic art, and clever word play and knee-slapping punchlines, give this one a whirl. I can't think of one bad thing to say about this book.

Bought at FlameCon 2018 from the author. Absolutely wonderful! Beautiful colors, a fun and engaging read, and a fairly comprehensive look at the Set-Horus feud. It reminded me of reading Marcia Williams’ Greek Myths for Young Children (which I was obsessed with as a kid) in the side comments and jokes and the way it took it seriously but also made it a little silly. This one’s not for young children though, with the explicit sex and incest jokes.
