I felt that the concept was really good. I understand what they're going for but the way they presented it was so heavy handed. They just talked about the problems instead of actually showing them. It also moved and jumped around very quickly I don't feel there was enough time to grow with the characters and enjoy the story as a whole.

My first comic of 2022 and it was brilliant! A feminist comic dealing with todays issues written by Emilia Clarke, what more do you really want? Fantastic read die any comic lover or someone wanting to delve into the comic book world.

This kick a** modernized female superhero tale offers action packed pages and striking graphics while exploring what it means to be a woman living in a man's world.

I enjoyed this, but it is very in-your-face late-Millenial burn-it-all-down feminism which will be enjoyable to people who agree, but likely unbearable to those who don't, or even off-putting to people who are on the fence. I think that the art is fantastic and the writing is not bad, though it seems to aspire to the writing of Mockingbird but doesn't quite get there.

Feminist superhero comic.
Maya has powers that are tied to her hormones and started when she hit puberty. Each emotion she feels gives her a different power.
I love the themes the comic explores and that Maya gets to be unapolegetically herself and has a unique voice. Her rage enables her to help people and I love that.  (especially love that it was written by Emilia Clarke and feels like a response to the awful ending of the you know what show and her character.)
I love how colourful and vibrant the artwork is juxtaposing against some pretty dark themes like sexim, suicide, death, misogyny and toxic masculinity. Depsite the dark subject matters there is a thread of hope and brightness.

This is an incredible, feminist series about a woman who has super powers when she's menstruating. The commentary is both brutal, witty and definitely written for a specific audience. It's also so cool to see a mom cast as a superhero!

Welp. The environment this lead character is in is highly relatable.
I was going to say there was a lot of exposition at the beginning, but then the book called the reader out, saying if we will watch 22 marvel movies, we can read 5 pages of backstory and they are right.
Definitely interested in seeing where this goes.
