This one was okay, but not great, and certainly a far cry from the hype. The premise is that you can be DNA matched with your one true love. What could possibly go wrong? Well, the author has a handful of “Matches” that he alternates through, with each chapter featuring a different set of matched characters. This means that the book automatically suffers from one of the literary devices that I personally don’t care for: unrelated story lines. It took me many pages to get into each sub-story. At the halfway point in the book things *finally* get a bit interesting, when all of our “matches” run into varying degrees of disturbing trouble. I won’t spoil the endings, but they all get tidied up rather conveniently with a few dead bodies and some happy-ish ever afters in the mix.

I was tricked by the concept of this book being catalogued a thriller. I would have never bought this book if I would have been aware of how little it has of a thriller, and how much it has of a chick-flick book. I get why people like it, it is just not a thriller, nor my type of book.

Some of the storylines where more interesting than others and the middle got a bit boring at times. The beginning was fun and the end had a good twist. The science and cliff hangers made me roll my eyes at times but overall it was a fun easy read.

I tried to listen to all of you who seem to like this so much but I can’t take it anymore.

It’s too boring and slow + the amount of POVs is not helping matters either cause I can’t connect with any of the characters.
