Finally after way too long I was able to pick up another book from Emily Carroll. I was even lucky enough to find a physical copy of this one in my used book store and I’m really glad I did. Just as I did with Through the Woods I adored every page of this story. Of course no surprise the art is stunning. There is something so beautiful and unsettling about the style and colors with every story that Emily Carroll writes that just draws you in. The contrast of the black and white with the bright red can turn something from gorgeous to terrifying so quickly. I loved the mystery of who these characters are and which is the prey and which is the monster. For such a short story you get to learn so much about them and I would easily read more. A creepy gay fairytale and I adored it.

After FIVE years I finally have a copy in my hands, HALLELUJAH! This was a stunning read, though near the end got a bit too confusing for me to fully understand what was going on. The doors part also had me going back for a bit. But the art, the art was just freaking beautiful. I just loved the colours and the way Emily Carroll does her art.
