We're rushing towards the conclusion... I can't wait to read the last volume. But someone is hogging it at my library. Grrrrrrr lol

dark tense medium-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? No
  • Loveable characters? No
  • Diverse cast of characters? No
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

La historia se volvió repetitiva y parece que la trama gira siempre en círculos. Flojito comparandolo con volumenes anteriores.

I love the build up between Near and Light in this volume. Seeing just small hints at their plans, and constantly wondering who has the upper hand, really amped up the tension. And that little twist towards the end was really nice, and has me excited for the finale.

I am really ready to be done with these books and really not as in love with any of the characters as I was at the beginning, but also totally invested in how it’s going to end. Ryuk not being involved as much anymore is really a bummer.
