DNF at 13%. I managed to get through the first book in this bind up: "This Wicked Gift". It put me through a range of emotions: I was confused, appalled, disappointed, bored, and finally, uninterested. William was scummy and irredeemable. Lavinia could've been great but her development was overshadowed by the awful way she and William came to be. I didn't like how consent was handled at all in this story. I'm realizing this shouldn't've been my first Courtney Milan book. I put the bind up down for about two weeks to see if I would find the desire to continue on. But every time I though of this particular story, I couldn't imagine progressing on to the other two books. I am still interested in reading something else from the author, though will probably look at one of her more recent books than trying to start from the beginning of her backlist.
