Broody Brit was simply awesome. It was hot, steamy and full of heart. I loved Axel and Zenobia’s story. I loved how their friendship and relationship developed. I especially loved that they saw each other, truly saw each other. I adored it and definitely recommend it.

Just like the art that Axel forges in his workshop, Naima Simone is able to take a few broken pieces and create a relationship that perfectly reflects the importance of family, friendship, and love.
Zenobia and Axel appeared to be complete opposites, but I quickly recognized that these two people carry similar emotional scars born of loss, pain, and regrets. Both Z and Axel have a unique way of appreciating life, and I really enjoyed how carefully they considered their words and actions around each other. Axel's grumpy and reserved nature was the perfect balance for Zenobia's more extroverted personality, and I love that they each really saw the other person. While I wish the ending would have been a little less abrupt, it's only because I really wanted more of Z and Axel's story.

Picked this up because I'm a fan of the author, not realising what the Cocky Hero Club was. I adored Dear Bridget back when that was what British Bedmate was called, but I don't tend to reach for this style of hot & heavy insta-love story anymore. I enjoy Naima Simone's writing and she did a great job with Axel and Zenobia, would have loved 50-100 pages more for the issues to be dealt with

Love all the wonderful areas of life this book addresses especially with past traumas. I felt connected to both characters and the way they handle their emotions. With this book there are so many life lessons to learn. But lots of swooning, as well as fanning myself with this Broody Brit!

My first Naima Simone novel and am so happy with it!

Broody Brit by Naima Simone is HOT!! I listened to this read and Aria Addison and Will Thorne are absolute perfection.

Zenobia and Axel are from two different worlds. Literally two different continents. Their happenstance of being thrown together is a set-up for comic gold. However, these two are less funny and more what they each needed in that moment even though they didn't know they needed it. The way they help each other is so endearing. The comic gold comes when they think they're fooling their friends. I was laughing out loud!!

As a nurse, I tend to avoid any books that involve medical characters because their behavior in their professional capacity is often very unrealistic. This book had a couple of cringe-worthy moments in this aspect but because everything else was so good I could overlook it.

Love and Healing

Wow. I really enjoyed this one! It had so much more depth than I was anticipating. Loss and Grief is a very powerful thing especially when it occurs in your youth. Not all families grow stronger or deal with it in a supportive manner.

I listened to the audiobook and thought the narrators were okay. There was a lisp from the female narrator that I kept hearing but the guys accent was good.

I really liked Zenobia and found her to be relatable. She’s strong, resilient and vocal. I was pulling for her the entire book because she deserved to be seen and loved. Axel took a minute to get used to since he was the grumpy artist. But I always root for love and healing.

This is probably my favorite Naima Simone story because there was really good character development and growth in this story. I love stories with layers as well a lot of heat! Plus, It had humor so I found myself chuckling at times.

May I add that I loved Z’s emotional connection with her work and that she went to counseling. I am always impressed when an author presents counseling a viable option to help characters process trauma. Bravo Naima Simone.
