Sally Malcolm concludes the story she began in A Matter of Honor. This is an action-packed tale. The reader is rocked from heroic to horrific events. I was exhausted when I finished the book. I don’t think a televison episode could be made from this two-book series, but it works as a Stargate tale.

Published in mass-market paperback by Fandemonium Books.

It was really very enjoyable. Like its predecessor, the characters sprang to life and the situations were reminiscent of the television show. It was easy to visualize the characters in their situations, and hear their voices in my mind.

I am torn between giving it 3 or 4 stars, ideally i would give 3,5 but i rounded it up to four.
I think my greatest dislike where the outcast, I am just not a big fan of zombies dragging their starving bodies around... even when they are healed in the end. Also I felt like this book had a few lengths and a bit too many ups and downs.
But what I LOVED was the team chemistry and the friendships between SG-1, i loved to see the meaning of the SGC and these relationships from the point of view of all the members of SG-1, as well as the hints towards Sam/Jack feelings :)
Overall not quite what I expected as a second part but still a good book :)

This book is better than the prequel. It wraps up the first book nicely.
