atla book 3:
aang: I refuse to kill the genocidal tyrant that's responsible for the eradication of my own people because the monks taught me that all life is sacred even the life of the tiniest spider-fly caught in its own web, and I want to uphold those values while restoring peace and balance to the world.

the promise:
zuko: if I become anything like my abusive and genocidal father you need to kill me.
aang, after barely a few panels' worth of hesitation: aight bet.

5 / 5 !
it's going to be sooo difficult for me to give anything Avatar related less than 5 stars.
I'm so excited that i'm finally reading what happens after the animated series.

Not as good as the show, but it is nice to see all the characters again and to get more information about what they were doing editing the time between Airbender ending and Korea beginning.

The comic starts right where the show ended. I really liked how defeating the Fire Lord in the series wasn’t enough to really have peace. A war that has been going on for a century will definitely be harder to end than just defeat one political leader. I’m really excited to see where this will be going.
