I started reading this at the same time as I started reading [b:Wuthering Heights|6185|Wuthering Heights|Emily Brontë|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1630501681l/6185._SY75_.jpg|1565818] by [a:Emily Brontë|4191|Emily Brontë|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1529578586p2/4191.jpg]. It helped me understand the author better and I learnt things about the other Brontë's lives which will hopefully help me understand their books more when I read them.

Good synopsis of the Brontes sisters's, especially Charlotte's, lives. The second half of the book, which seeks to analyze their work, is far less satisfying.
