Ridiculously weird and fun societal commentary — definitely makes you empathize with people from all walks of life, good or bad!

i like the idea of the “black box of doom” being a bit of red herring instilling that it’s actually our phones that are causing chaos opposed to the physical object of the novel.

Overall a good book and a fun read. Definitely makes some good points about human nature, although the author tends to be heavy handed. The end also felt too cheesy/sitcom-y for me.
Definitely did not likeAbbott’s incel-ness and the way it was handled. I don’t think he experienced enough change in that way throughout the book. Adding that detail for a character was definitely a bold choice and I don’t think it paid off.
Definitely did not like

This is what I wanted and needed. Very much a David Wong/Jason Parkin book with his typical interesting facts sprinkled in. I liked it a lot, laughed out loud.

Although this was a fun read, it just doesn't compare to JDATE or the Zooey books.
