This was a wild ride. I'm not sure how I feel about that final pay off and the MC was annoying for like 90% of the book...but I enjoyed the ride, mostly (got a little stale nearing the middle).

DNF. I got about half way through before I gave up, before the end of chapter 12. The premise is pretty good, but it got a bit too preachy for me, especially by the incel. If I can know how long it takes before he stopped being a moron, I'd speed through those parts, but I didn't want to go through the whole book listening to that

I enjoyed the writing style. The pacing is a little off, like it seems to drag a bit especially given the characters are supposed to be racing against the clock - it feels like we should be going faster . I think it would've been better if it were edited down a bit. I also am not sure if I would've picked it up if I knew one of the main characters was going to be an incel and say things like I'd rather be raped 50 times than be falsely accused of rape. And be very misogynistic (but then he's also like helping women a lot so what, is he supposed to be like a nice incel??) . Also I feel like the book uses its characters as being mouthpieces for bringing up / arguing certain ideologies in a way that's a little too heavy handed and hitting you over the head with it. Also I'm not sure if I missed something but I'm not sure why this book is classified as science fiction?
