Pleasantly surprised!

Picked this up bc my library had a copy completely unaware of the author. The guitar riff opening the audiobook did not bode well for my personal tastes, but I found the content much more reasonable.

Reads like a season of television. A lighter read that isn't too serious. If I said this was a light satire of internet brain and pipeline radicalization, you'd probably cringe, but it's handled well. Dialogue about this often steps in to fill time gaps the plot creates. Enjoyable!

I started this book with high hopes and by the end finished by dissociating so hard I might have astral projected.

You might enjoy this if you have the capacity to listen to a main character who is chronically online, cynical, and toeing the incel line. As a woman in 2025 I just can’t do it anymore.
