I went along with all of the woe-is-me until he admitted that he had cheated on his wife and was culpable in her leaving him. Then I couldn't read anymore.

Much as I have enjoyed Harrison in the past, after 63 pages I could not care about his protagonist, his girlfriend or his sex life. The idea of visiting every state had a certain appeal but not enough to keep reading.

This is my second book by Jim Harrison in as many months, and I think I have to put him on my favorite authors list. He has a way of combining humor and philosophy in a very agreeable way.
