I really liked the concepts explored in this and how accessible it is as a sci-fi. it's a great starting point. But I just struggle with Hank Green's writing and I don't really like any of the characters. I did enjoy the general plot and all the concepts so I still had a lot of fun ready this.

Stunning, just stunning! I loved every second of reading this. It was so great having more perspectives to the story because each one had their own biases and experiences and expertise to bring to the table. I loved this in the first book as well, but it's so engaging the way that these incredibly intelligent and capable people seem to do everything right . . . and then it falls to shit anyway and you get to see them recover. This is absolutely Hank's manifesto and it is such a worthy one: sometimes people suck and sometimes technology makes it easier for people to have power over others, but on the whole humanity is beautiful and worthy of wonder.

I did read this book before An Absolutely Remarkable Thing. That being said, I did not feel like I “missed out” and I can’t WAIT to go back and read a prequel ;)
