Quick review: awesome concept, kind of predictable, so it gets 3 stars.

First story with Mignola art is excellent. The second is so much filler.

An alright book. Don’t really have any strong feelings, good or bad. Thinking I was expecting more, I don’t know. As a mystery it’s wanting. But it’s a fun thought experiment.

It's surprisingly how well the Batman mythos fits into a Victorian time period, and adding Jack the Ripper was a stroke of genius.

Really wonderful and flavorful art. The tone of this comic is pitch-perfect, although there isn't any huge amount of depth or suspense to it.

I think it was an interesting take on the Dark Knight but didn't add anything worthwhile. I much prefer the animated movie over the graphic novel. The Jack the Ripper mystery is much more interesting and is the main focus of the movie.

A personal and romantic Batman story with suitably-atmospheric art from Mignola. The less said of the the tacked-on sequel included in the paperback, the saccharine and shallow 'Batman: Master of the Future', the better.

It was everything that I wanted it to be, except I wanted more.
