Wow

So now that I have read this straight thru with no sleep…

I’m in awe! This premise is so thought provoking. As a parent is so traumatic. The relationships and character development and twists. Just wow

Now next in the series here I come!

What a concept. This was a freaky good book. I really liked the story line and idea behind it. A life for a life, for now anyways.

This is my first Mike Salt read. Quite honestly I wasn’t sure what to expect going into it. I also had broken my arm the day that I started reading it. Maybe being broken and emotional when you start reading a book about grief isn’t a great idea. However, the book has a great story that is relatively easy to follow. There were a few parts that I wasn’t really sure what was going on, but overall the story flowed nicely. I was anticipating more gore, based on what I’ve heard about the author, but I think the amount suited the story. Overall, I found it a very dark and emotional read. I look forward to checking out more of his books.

This book though!!! It had everything in it. There was happiness, sadness, horror, and emotional despair. I enjoyed this book throughout it's entirety. Rob went through everything and although hope was there it wasn't fully achieved. I felt sadness for rob at the same time I felt he wasn't my favorite character. I wanted him to triumph so that his life would be okay but I also wanted him to be with Emily. I just have to say that this book kept me on my seat the entire time. I have to recommend it in the upmost regard.
