Honestly, this is all my fault. I really should not trust a grown woman named Rainbow. And I should've recalled how much I didn't like Eleanor & Park. And yet, I persisted. So there I was, plowing along with this reading like a socialite who just turned 21. I knew damn well that I was going to wake up with a terrible hangover and yet I kept drinking. For the first half, the book went down easy. I really didn't mind the lack of plot. But the book went from Quirky and Amusing to Awful in no time. Who sends four page long emails written single spaced? SERIOUSLY. And the ending is a joke. (I was pulling for Emilie instead) I'm done with you, Rainbow!

Attachments was a cute little story that I enjoyed reading. The ending was a bit abrupt though, so I'm still not over it :/

This is easily my most favorite book of all time!

This novel, written by the fabulous Rainbow Rowell, follows Lincoln O'Neal, a sweet, smart and hulk-like guy working in the "internet security" office reading people's emails. He hates the job and feels like he's invading everyone's privacy. He's also struggling with a prior relationship that continues to haunt him. Not to mention that he's a complete mamma's boy, not that there's anything wrong with that. Lincoln feels lost in life and confused about the next steps he should take, but then he stumbles upon Beth and Jennifer's emails to one another. He knows that it's his job to report them but their personalities end up drawing him in and he finds himself unable to stop. He eventually becomes so "familiar" with them he starts to feel as if they are his friends. The whole situation is insane, especially when feelings like love get involved...

I knew right away that I would love this book. It's definitely because Rowell makes adult books so fun and interesting. The story felt so unique to me that I finished it in less than 24 hours. The book is a pretty short read in general but it was so good that I only got up to do unavoidable things...like use the bathroom and eat. Lincoln for one is such an interesting character. While his backstory is pretty common, the way his story is told and the decisions he makes were all put together in an original way. I was surprised by his inner feelings just because of the way his appearance is described. This book just kept getting more and more interesting. I always have a hard time with adult books because they feel so serious, but I loved this book and recommend it to everyone.
