Best book I've read in a while. Lots of action. I laughted and I cried. I couldn't put it down.

This is my favourite book of the series so far. It has everything I always look for in a book. 4 anguished stars.

Mack the hero has it all.

Tortured soul, emotionally detached and broody as hell. ✔
Good looks and great heritage. ✔
Built like a shit brickhouse, soft and gooey but a biker with a beautifully baby boy. ✔

Jaylah the heroine compliments Mack.

Sassy and beautiful. ✔
Crazy pants. ✔
overly stunning and just right for Mack. ✔

Jaylah meant well but didn't really think things through so she gets into some bother with a drug dealer and to get out of it again she takes the job as a nanny only she isn't a nanny.

Mack has a son with a previous love but he doesn't want to be a father for some really shitty reasons. He needs a nanny. He gets Jaylah.

So they don't get off to the best start there is. Mack thinks Jay is crazy and well Jay thinks Mack is a douche. Over time and a lot of misunderstandings they start to get to know one another. Before they get down and dirty there is the "poop incident" which is bloody hilarious but the banter between the two as well as the chemistry was fabtastic. Mack due to past experiences is emotionally detached and has locked himself in Fort Knox.
SpoilerHe picked the wrong person to fall in love with. Ingrid was scared and left and Macks half brother when slightly crazy.
SpoilerBut his walls are cracking thanks to Jay. Jay knows what she is getting into with Mack and I was so proud when she showed a backbone and tried to get rid of him. Cause he fucked up what with saying the wrong name and all. There were also really sweet moments between the two.

There is a lot of action in this book and a good plot and to extent also fucking sick.
SpoilerI was glad that Ms. Jewel picked Ash to get shot at and not Jay as it added to the book and was a good twist and she saved Ash's fucking life.
Spoiler

Ms. Jewel makes me love the characters straight away and I can always tell when a book is going to be a 5 star read for me. I need more kick ass books like this for this series.

Maybe Tyke and Pippa will get a book?

Whew! Jaylah is sassy, but lovable sassy! I loved that she gave Mack back everything he gave to her. She didn't take any crap. This was an awesome story!

Painful read - I don't know why I'm so down on this series or why I continue to read it. My main issue with this book was the believability of the characters and the pacing of the story line - both not good.

Would have given it 5 stars but it was just too short. Still enjoyed it.
