November 2017 - so fun to go through all the noises a house and its people make (and a fun extension would be to think of more noises that aren't in the book, especially at the end when the story becomes quiet).

A cute book about all the different sounds a child hears in their house and as they go about their day. Could be a great opportunity to have kids participate and make the sounds of things pictured in the book and also to ask them about the different sounds they hear every day.

Great for noises, great for pleasingly brown children, great for a caring father and no other caregiver mentioned -- so particularly nice for a single parent household, but not something that is called out. Just lovely.

Sparse text but fantastic diverse characters in the illustrations, this is a fun little story of a little girl and her dad going about their day while paying attention to all the sounds around them. Lots of onomatopoeia and the girl repeats often, "Sssh! Listen, what's that noise?" A great group read aloud for preschoolers and toddlers.
