This book was SO much fun to read! Nimona is a great book about friendship and loyalty and fighting for what's right, all the while filled with wonderfully humorous moments. I resisted reading this because I thought it looked silly, and the minute I finally starting reading it I was angry with myself for not giving it a chance sooner. It's just terrific.

Una novela gráfica muy entretenida y original, no me esperaba para nada cómo iba a evolucionar la historia. Me ha gustado mucho ese ambiente como medio medieval-moderno y la estética de las ilustraciones, muy a lo Hora de Aventuras. La historia en sí también me ha parecido muy bonita, ya que tenía mucha crítica social contra el gobierno (esa organización entre héroes y villanos un poco difusa) y que promueve mensajes de aceptación, tolerancia y, sobre todo, que se centra en el amor. Porque es muy bonita la amistad entre Nimona y Ballister Corazónnegro, pero también entre este último y Lomodorado (bueno, amistad entendida en el sentido de los historiadores, no sé si me explico) y cómo, al final, es este amor a nuestras personas cercanas las que nos incitan a ser mejores. Una muy buena lectura, amena y con un gran mensaje detrás. Merece mucho la pena.

I never wanted this to end.

Nimona is an impulsive young shapeshifter with a knack for villainy. Lord Ballister Blackheart is a villain with a vendetta. As sidekick and supervillain, Nimona and Lord Blackheart are about to wreak some serious havoc. Their mission: prove to the kingdom that Sir Ambrosius Goldenloin and his buddies at the Institution of Law Enforcement and Heroics aren't the heroes everyone thinks they are.

Holy wow did this escalate quickly but it was SO GOOD!

It starts out light and humorous and then turns serious and dark...and finishes out with a small light of hope. All in 256 pages of adorable graphic panels.

I want more.
Buy it. Read it. Pay it forward.

 DNF at page 88; chapter 7. I don't know what it is about this, but I really couldn't get into it. Maybe another time I'll pick it up and finish it, but right now I cannot finish it.
