Lisa Wheeler and Barry Gott have done it again. The newest book in the popular Dino-sports series, Dino-Swimming, is sure to delight fans and new readers alike. The Land Sharks go head-to-head against the Algae Eaters to see who can win the swim meet. Triceratops is disqualified for switching lanes, naughty T-Rex knocks one of the Ptero twins into the pool, and one of the largest dinosaurs displaces all of the water during the diving event.
Wheeler’s rhymes are catchy and introduce new vocabulary words (my five-year-old twins now know what “hesitate” means), while Gott’s colorful illustrations display the dinosaurs’ athletic abilities. I appreciate that Wheeler has made approximately half of the dinosaurs female, which is still surprisingly rare in children’s books.
This book is a must buy for libraries and fans of the series.

Nice little rhymes. My niece is on the swim team and she liked seeing all the different strokes. Fun book for kids on a swim team.
