OMG this book was so bad, but since it was on purpose I enjoyed it. I loved and hated this book. It's the most ridiculously outlandish book I think I've ever read; it read like a Wayan's Brothers script in just being weird and kooky and silly. Honestly though, the original material this book is parodying begs for a ridiculous retelling and this book does a good job of that.
Graphic: Misogyny, Toxic relationship, and Sexual content
Moderate: Alcoholism

Uh…. I’ve seen the first paragraph of this circulating around and thought it was witty, lighthearted commentary. The rest of the book… ridiculous. I thought I’d at least be entertained but the plot rests so much on being over the top it loses all humor. My expectations were low and this somehow still didn’t measure up.

This is one of the funniest books I have ever read. Shaffer skewers through parody something that can only come from a deep knowledge and attention to detail for what he is mocking.
Moderate: Sexual content
Minor: Violence
