Until the End of the World is my favorite zompoc series, and one of my favorites series ever, like top three of all time. Why? Because of the characters. Ms. Lyons Fleming is so skilled at characterization. She offers enough for you to get her vision of who this person is, what they look, and what motivates them, but also leaves space so that your imagination can fill in the rest. Even the characters I hate, I love, because they are real enough for me to be emotionally invested enough TO hate them. The characters are well developed and REAL, and their struggle to adapt to the new and frightening world they find themselves in feels real, too.

There's action and zombies, of course, and like all the best zombies book (in this reader's humble opinion) it's the people that make this series so special. I've read this entire series several times, and listened to the audiobooks so much, that I feel like I am seeing old friends when I read/listen. The whole series is well thought out, the pacing is excellent, and the nail-biter parts almost literally had me biting my nails the first time I read these books, and I quit biting my nails in third grade.

You'll love these books!
