The plot was a little iffy for me... I don't know a weird concept but it was still cute! Rowan and Larke were very cute and I loved the epilogue!! I did see the plot twist coming and still I was shocked.

Firefly!!
Moving out of the big city was a big step for Ronan Thatcher but it was one he knew he needed to make. After living in California all his life, moving to a small town like Calamity made him miss the rush a bit. He opened his law firm in town but it took a few days for business to start running. And it seems like people from Montana are not fond of people from California. Or let’s say tourists who don’t stay. Well, Ronan was planning on staying and when he saw this stunning woman walk by his office he knew something was intriguing about her. Larke used to teach as a 5th-grade teacher but due to so many new people moving to her small town, she was needed at the high school. Teaching high school was not easy but adding a 2-year-old daughter to the mix, she was exhausted a lot. Dating men was not an option for her but something about this new lawyer in town has her rethinking and not thinking at all. Who knew that the two might have to work against each other/ with each other very soon?
This was the perfect light read after my dark Thriller. It lightened my mood and it had me kicking my feet. I mean his nickname for her is Mama! Like come one. The way Ronan immediately built a connection with Wren was so heartwarming. He also has a nickname for her!! Firefly!! It is so stinking and adorable. We never truly find out who Wren’s father is when we start the book and for whatever reason I didn’t need to know. The second Ronan made his, very cringe, first move I thought of him as the perfect father. Don’t get me wrong not everything is all sweet and loving. The two need to figure out what is happening with a student at Larke’s school. Because she suddenly wants to sue Larke. The way the two also bond over the student was great to see unfold. Calamity seems like the small town where I would love to go on vacation and maybe, just maybe I will find my Ronan. I can recommend this book to any small-town lover!

My 80th read of the year and I actually loved it so much. I had no idea about this book other than it was a single mom trope and this book gave me the same feeling as Sustained by Emma Chase so rightfully so I am obsessed.
