It was cute, and I plan to read the rest of the series but not one of my favorites. However, there wasn't anything really wrong with it. I did like the narrators of the audiobook.

Walker. This man makes me want to pound my head against a wall. I don't care that he is broody and a complicated past—honestly, whatever. What I do care about is that HE CAN NOT COMMUNICATE AT ALL. If his life depended on it, Walker would throw a hissy fit and let himself die before he communicated his thoughts and feelings.

I feel so bad for the FMC Sienna. She was put through the ringer trying to deal with how wishy-washy Walker was. I honestly don't understand what she sees besides the fact that he is hot. Yes, he has his kind moments, but beyond that, Walker's a red flag. Not to mention the fact the casual misogyny of this book. It's just not for me.

I really enjoyed the story. The writing style got to me a little bit, some of the conversation didn’t flow all that well, and I found myself rereading sections that I didn’t catch the first time around due to the awkward flow.

The basis of the story was great. I saw the “twist” coming a mile away, and thought the ending was way to over dramatic.

It was a good story, but I don’t know how much it will stick with me in the following year or two.

This is a light contemporary romance that has been on my TBR for a while.  I was looking forward to a small town, blue collar contemporary romance with some fun community and good romance.  Unfortunately, this one didn't quite hit the notes I was hoping for.  I found the story a little slow and while I liked the characters but need to feel deeply for them.  It may have been my mood because I don't have any strong criticism of the book.  Just didn't give me the feels I was looking for.

I really struggled to get into the story at first, it felt quite slow up until about the 35% mark. Yes there were sparks between Sienna and Walker, as well as some excellent banter. However there was a little to much blowing hot and cold by Walker, too much will they won't they for my liking. I'm guessing this was perhaps done to emphasise how confusing this was for Sienna, but it just got a little boring. I was really into Sienna and Peck as characters but Walker was leaving me a little cold but knowing how amazing this author is I persevered, and thank goodness I did.

All of a sudden the book picks up pace and whilst we still have a bit of Walker being an idiot, you start to realise there is a reason for it, even if we don't know that reason just yet. Things start going really well until they don't, and boy does it make you want to slap Walker upside the head for making such a stupid decision. There's lots of sage advice to both parties from friends and family, I loved the phone call between Sienna, Graham and Lincoln. Oh and the scene in Crank between Walker and Dave - just have a box of tissues ready for that one.

Before long I was totally caught up in Sienna and Walker's story. I really liked them both, and one of the huge strengths of the Landry and now Gibson books is the love and support shown by family. The relationship between brothers and cousins was wonderful, all the banter was so heartwarming but at the end of the day, even if they seemed to bicker most of the time, I love how they all have each others backs. The characters are portrayed so well they feel real.

The chemistry is off the charts and there are some wonderfully steamy scenes between Walker and Sienna. Well before the end of the book I loved Walker and the letter at the end, well that just raised him up to one of my favourite book boyfriends ever.

Roll on the rest of the Gibson Boys books, I can't wait to see who tames their wild ways.

I struggled with how to rate this one. The Sienna hitting Walker's truck thing was a totally ridiculous way to have them meet, but besides that, I completely loved her. Her family has money, but she wasn't stuck-up or prissy or expecting things. In fact, what made me love her even more was that she was willing to use her money to pay for others who are less fortunate, and she seemed to genuinely care about other people. I also loved that she stood up to Walker and stuck to her guns when things went down the drain. I'm so tired of reading the weak female who just allows the guy to apologize or keeps going after the guy when he said he didn't want her. Sienna was strong and stood up for herself and didn't just let Walker's apology make things ok between them because his omission was NOT ok.

Walker on the other hand... not such a fan. Maybe I can kind of understand why he tried not to get involved with anyone, and I get the pull between he and Sienna, but his hot and cold routine got old fast, and his treatment of her after the first time they had sex?! OMG! I probably wouldn't have been as nice as Sienna was.

Anyway, I wanted to give this 3 stars because I didn't like Walker, yet I think Sienna deserved more, so 4 stars it is. Can't wait for Machlan's, and Cross's stories, but even more so, I'm dying for Peck's story, and I hope he doesn't end up with that awful Molly whatever her name is!

This book was just okay for me. I’m not sure if it’s because I listened to it as an audio book or just because of the story itself but I just didn’t find myself connecting with the characters in a way that I would like to. I enjoyed listening to it but I didn’t crave the story like I do with other books. I wasn’t as connected to the characters as I normally am. The story was cute and entertaining but just wasn’t a favorite of mine.

Adriana Locke can create characters that from the beginning of the book, you can't help but love. This story is the last of the Landry family, Sienna who has gone on her own, away from the family fortune to start her own business. Ending up in Illinois and falling in love was not on the agenda. When she meets Walker Gibson, owner of Crank(the town mechanic), all that will change. Walker is the perfect example of man. He is hard working, a little grumpy, close to his family and of course, good looking! But he comes guarded and with secrets. Sienna is feisty, ambitious, organized, beautiful but unsure of where her life is going. The path their relationship takes is not a traditional one, their banter fun, flirty and sometimes antagonistic. You have to love their journey, the new characters that Locke introduces in this new series and the town. It's intoxicating and makes you want to be in that small town feel with this family. Nana won my heart from the start, love that woman and the way she takes care of her boys. Can't wait to see how she whips the rest of the clan in shape!

Kai Kennicott & Wen Ross give this book the perfect performance. From the grumpy mechanic to the meddling brothers and cousins, Wen gives each their own voice and personality. Kai voices Sienna with that gritty and gutsy feel, with a undertone of the class that she was brought up in. Love the way she can portray the character to a tee.
