The Midnight Library offers a series of scary short stories for kids that read like the Goosebumps books; fast paced, exciting, and scary, but not too scary. Just enough to be fun.
Voices tells the story of a girl who begins to hear voices after her mother falls ill and she visits her in the hospital. A Perfect Fit is about a boy whose sneakers have a will of their own and keep getting him into trouble by being involved in crimes all around town and bringing the evidence back. An Apple a Day follows Tim, a boy whose neighbors' apple orchard proves too tempting to resist, and when he begins stealing apples from them he finds the consequences to be more than he bargained for.
The Midnight Library books are quick, action packed reads that will appeal to even the reluctant reader.
