WOW OMG THIS WAS PROBABLY THE MOST SPECTACULAR ROMANCE I'VE EVER READ.

First, I want to give praise to the narrator of the audiobook, Adjoa Andoh, because her reading really made the story such a fun and captivating listen. There was so much emotion and care put into the narration that I really could paint each scene and the emotions on each character's face in my head. It felt like I was watching a movie.

Now, for the book itself. Never have I read a romance book where the characters felt so real and tangible. Chloe is a fantastic main character, and you can really get a sense of the kind of person she is. You can tell the story was meant to be about the development of her own character along with the romance. She is a really strongly built, well thought out character who feels like a real person, and it really added to my experience. You feel for her, you get sad with her, and you cheer when she triumphs.

Red, also. Wow. He's fantastic. A wonderfully romantic, compassionate, and also incredibly fleshed out character that really added to my experience as well. He was so sweet to Chloe. Not only was I swooning, but I was also captivated by his own arc. The final conflict relied heavily on each character's self reflection, and wrapped the story with a neat bow.

Talia Hibbert is an outstanding writer, and now one of my favorite authors. The prose was fantastic, and perfectly encapsulated each character's emotion. The omniscient third person (am I even using that right) narration was done so skillfully and is great inspiration for my own work. Even though it's in third person, each character had their own tone and voice and it was so delightful to listen to.

This is genuinely a book that is going to stick with me. Nothing was cliche (not always a bad thing) or surface-level. Everything felt super thought out and meticulously planned. Each moment, each character trait, was important to the story. It was also, SO. CUTE. I applauded in my car once it ended. Seriously a fantastic book, no notes. Needless to say, I began listening to Act Your Age, Eve Brown, immediately after (since I read Take a Hint, Dani Brown, a while ago, and also, LOVED it).

Some spoilery reviews/comments:

- gosh... when Red wrote her the list I almost cried that was soooo thoughtful and endearing
- I loved Chloe's conversation with Gigi at the end of the book. I wish it was a little longer because I loved how big of a turning point it was for Chloe's character/outlook on life and Red
- Red and Chloe love each other in such a beautiful, careful, devoted way that I just can't get over it. Please tell me he proposed in the MOMA.

this is a pretty good book. this might be my favorite one out of all the series, mainly because chloe is a pretty analytical character (which is similar to how my brain works anyway). it's very refreshing to see how she analyzed her emotions with pristine detail, and it helps even more with getting to understand the character and feel more intimate within their lives. i also appreciate this for showing that people with chronic pain disorders DO exist, and are capable of still receiving love in ways that they deserve. i'm also glad that redford went to therapy, and did it not only for himself – but also for the sake of their relationship. i think he's the only one in all 3 books that actually went to therapy, so that way he has a higher possibility of actually working on his trauma responses. i wish all the characters in each book would consider it though
