Seriously witty, subversive, and enjoyable. I'm glad Malki took these calendar pages and turned them into a book.

A thoroughly amusing series of illustrated verses from [a:David Malki|1179783|David Malki|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/authors/1292437030p2/1179783.jpg]'s artisanal calendar projects (2008-2012 + bonus verses). I could not resist laughing out loud and then reading several of them to anyone else who was around. Initially I gave this book a 4 star rating as I without a doubt "really liked it", but upon further reflection I upgraded it to a full 5 stars. It exceeded my expectations for a collection of verse, and I would recommend it to anyone with at least the tiniest sense of humor.
It is a shame that this book was only available as part of the 2014 Wondermark calendar, but perhaps it will resurface as a standalone item in the near future.
