Um this book? Are you kidding me? It’s so fucking amazing.
The cover and title don’t do it justice :)
This book didn’t spend tons of time talking about how the ‘earth is doomed and we’re screwed’ but instead asking us and convincing the reader to get their ass into nature.
I loved that they discussed access issues, especially for people with disabilities. Universal design? Get out of town!
Read it.

Doesn't measure up to Last Child in the Woods. The book is fine, but lacks the urgent, necessary revelations of his first tome.

It started off very slowly and disconnectedly, making me think he should have just stopped after Last Child in the Woods. After a few chapters though, he seems to find his voice and story and it gets much better. Really helped renew my enthusiasm for my work with Environmental Education and Conservation.

Richard Louv really knows how to make me question my career path in the best way. So interesting, so much good research, such an important topic. I’m obsessed.

Read it for school, it was pretty good and informative. Personally wouldn’t pick it up on my own but very good!!
