I'm a Neil Gaiman fan & was very excited when my library got this adorable children's book of his in. While the book is adorable & the story sweet, I wanted it to be just a few more pages long. I wanted Chu to have a bit more splendid of a day before "the sneeze." This is why it was only a 3 star read for me.

A lot more simplistic than I expected. It's probably good for 2-3 year olds.

Oh my good lord, how cute are these books?
My goddaughter got especially into the "Ah...ah....ah...". And then when I stopped, and said, "No", she gave me her best WTF look.
The kids most especially got into the illustrations. So many animals to see and name. They're so beautifully drawn. If I didn't know these were written by Neil Gaiman, I wouldn't have believed it. See my previous review of [b:A Dangerous Alphabet].
And then when Chu finally sneezes, all three of us started "ACHOOOOO!!!!" ing as loud as we could. It was probably freaking hilarious to hear.
Seriously, so adorable.

Short and sweet, but almost too short. I wanted a bit more! Cute story though, and great illustrations.

Very cute, fun illustrations. My 2 y/o doesn't like it because of what happens during the sneeze but I think preschoolers would get it.

A simple, cute, lovingly illustrated picture book about a panda cub that possess a very powerful sneeze. I like all the drawings, there's so much to find and point out to a youngster, but my favorite scene involves a cow with exposed udders, a flying elephant, an oblivious fox, and an anxious turtle.

For very, very young children, best read by a parent who knows how to fake sneeze VERY loudly. Not my cup of tea.
