I somehow missed this release when it came out, not knowing it was out there. If you are a fan of ST Discovery this sets up events that occur in season 2. It would have been interesting how I would have enjoyed season 2 differently had I gotten this read before hand.
It is an excellent glimpse of the universe. Looking forward to reading future efforts here.

I was very sad by the end of this book, and presumably the series. I've always liked this idealistic character of Julian Bushir and felt moved by his descent into the nightmare of the Section 31 project.
I felt the story was a bit slow to get going, but then it took off and roared to an end.

What an excellent story. Especially in light of the season 2 finale of ST: Discovery. Highly recommended!

David Mack always delivers a riveting read. This had all the elements I like in a story. Human interest, adventure, danger, intrigue, an out of the box bad guy, it's all there. I HOPE this story line is continued and not left dangling for years as has happened before.
