Having met Dax in previous stories I was glad to see he had his own.
Belle and her daughter Chloe are trying to leave an bad situation and in doing so run into Dax. Chloe has told Belle that they would make a new friend and that friend happened to be Dax. Dax is trying to remember who he is and what he is. Belle and Chloe come into his life at a time when he needs them most.

Rebekah has done an amazing job and I loved this story. I can’t wait to read the next one as I have read the first five now and I want to know what is going to happen next.

Dax’s story was amazing, well worth the wait. This was Dax and Belle's story, both characters who have been introduced in other books. I enjoyed seeing their stories come together.. When you start reading this, you will not want to put it down. Drawing you in with a bit of everything: suspense, danger, and romance. I love that Belle is a strong woman who wants to take care of her daughter and not bring her problems to everyone, but reluctantly realizes she requires the support Dax offers her. I also loved Chloe and was definitely interested to learn more about her powers, you have to read it to find out about them. I highly recommend this book, especially if you enjoy fairy tale retellings.

Belle and the Beast by Rebekah R. Ganiere is book five in her Fairelle series and a wonderful addition. This story brings the reader back to familiar characters and brings them all together in a unique story that is a real page-turner. Belle has lived a life of abuse at the hands of Klaus and finally, enough is enough. After a nasty fight, Belle takes the opportunity to run, but Klaus views her and her daughter Chloe as his property and he’s not going to give them up easily. By chance, she crosses paths with Dax while on the run, and he gives her shelter. Dax has yet to discover the truth about himself. On one hand, he’s determined to find out, but on the other he’s hesitant. What will happen when he learns the truth about who he is? The one who hunts him, will not go quietly and now she knows where he is.
Belle and the Beast is Rebekah R. Ganiere’s twist on the classic fairytale of Beauty and the Beast. The characters are engaging and pull the reader in from the beginning. Belle, while fearful is still a strong character and determined to protect Chloe no matter what. Dax is still struggling to access his memories, but Chloe might be the bump that he needs. The romance, while it happens quickly time-wise, it also acts like a slow-burn between the characters. I like this because I don’t get the feeling that they are rushing into things too much. The author gives the feeling that more time has passed than it actually has. This story has multiple layers for the reader to delve through and for me, it makes this book hard to put down.
There isn’t really anything that I don’t like about this book. I want to be annoyed with Belle for wanting to hide Chloe and her abilities away, but I understand it. I appreciate how the author adds a nice layer of suspense and mystery to this story. You know the danger is there, but you are constantly guessing as to where it is coming from and when it will strike. I love it.
I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. This story is enjoyable from start to finish. The characters are well done, the storyline is engaging, and the amount of romance and danger is wonderful. I loved being reunited with so many familiar characters and seeing them all come together. If you’ve read the previous books in this series then I recommend that you grab this one and dive in. You won’t be disappointed.
