Eh. As story books go, it was lackluster. No plot whatsoever. But the pictures are fun.

The art in this is so so wonderful! I also wasn't sure what the story or message was going to be but I love it :)

I read this to my little brothers, age 3, 4, and 5, and I LOVED IT! The story actually took me by surprise with how seriously it took itself, dealing with real feelings kids have but that we don't often talk about. The Bad Seed helps kids recognize some of the reasons we may act the way we do- pulling away if we've been hurt before, lashing out to avoid other people hurting us first. I can't wait to read the other books in this series!

This is a picture book about a bad sunflower seed who decides to try to be not so bad. My 7 year old son really liked the illustrations in this one.
