I was gifted this book by my MIL when I told her I'd been diagnosed as autistic. I can see why she gave it to me, I enjoyed the cast of outcasts and misfits but I think the use of 'moron' was cruel and unwarranted. I can imagine the word it replaced in the original text but this may have been a chance to just get rid of the implication all together because it soured my experience.
Overall though a pacey read as a graphic novel and would be fun for it's intended age group.

"A SENHORA COMPARA NOSSAS VIDAS A UM SONETO DE SHAKESPEARE? UM FORMATO RIGOROSO, MAS COM LIBERDADE INTERNA?
SIM.

Ponto positivo pras ilustras, tavam MARAVILHOSAS.

I loved the movie and when I saw the book at the bookshop I didn't have a doubt to buy it and read it immediately. It's easy to read and is a interesting book, I hope others enjoy it as much as I did.

When I saw Wonder, there was a trailer for A wrinkle in time and it looks really good plus it has an amazing cast so I was like I need to read this before it comes out.

This was an odd book and I am glad that I read in the graphic novel format because I’m not sure if I would have stuck through and read it all if I read it in its original publication.

I did not like Meg. I thought she was super whiny and I wanted to slap her. Also, what the heck was up with IT? A brain? So weird. I feel like I read another book or saw a tv or movie with that same thing happening.

An excellent companion to the book. It allows you to soar through the pages with artwork that still provides an adequate depth. I personally read this prior to the new movie coming out and felt like I was right at home with my familiar friends. This was my favorite book as a child. This book taught me that truly loving something, means accepting that it is separate from you and different than you. Quotes that stuck out to me this time around:

“We can't take any credit for our talents. It's how we use them that counts.”

“We do not know what things look like. We know what things ARE like. It must be a very limiting thing, this seeing. -Aunt Beast”

You're given the form, but you have to write the sonnet yourself. What you say is completely up to you.

Sadly, it didn't carry the magic of the novel.

I don't think that this book is bad, but it didn't work as well as the original text for me. I went in with very high expectations, though.
