Uneven collection of short stories about wishes by contemporary YA writers. The stories are a mix of realistic fiction and fantasy.

"Wish Week" is about a school where students get to make one wish during a special week and "The Fashion Contest" is about a rivalry between a tomboy and a girly-girl (and the boys who like them). Far and away my favorite was "The Reason I Will Love John MacFarlane Jr. Until the Day I Die" by Rachel Vail. It was a sweet story about a boy who has cancer and how his older sister (and her boyfriend) look out for him.
