A lot of fun geeky fun here. A fun mix of fantasy and sci-fi aspects.

I listened to the audiobook and absolutely loved the narrator. Mark Boyett did an excellent job with the story and especially all the different voices. I will definitely be looking for more books narrated by him.

As for the story, it was definitely interesting even though the world building was confusing at times. Sometimes I would get mixed up between the Real, the Subverse, who were pirates and what was going on. I think this is more because of me listening to it (even though I loved the narrator so much). It may have been better for me to read it so I would pay more attention to the details.

I did find Joe to be interesting, and the supporting cast were entertaining. Personally, I want a story on his daughter, Harmony.

Overall, it was an entertaining audiobook. Though the book tied most things up nicely, there were enough loose ends to follow for the rest of the series. I think I'll definitely keep the series on my radar.

I was provided a copy of the audiobook for free at my request and voluntarily left this review.
