A little slow (even though it is pretty short) and not as good as the first book. I did enjoy seeing the characters from Firefly Lane after the death of Katie.

It was a good book.... I love Firefly Lane so much though that reading these back to back left me wanting more from Fly Away! Definitely still a good read, but I was not as affected by this one. Guess my favorite character was always Katie though!

I love Kristin Hannah’s writing and have thoroughly enjoyed every book of hers so far. She’s the only author I will read knowing she will make me cry as I don’t like sad books as a rule. I couldn’t carry on with this sequel though as it was just too sad. I knew it was going to be dealing with the after effects of book 1 but I wasn’t expecting the grief to feel so heavy. Also cancer is a pretty big trigger for me and it pulled down the rating of book 1 even though I enjoyed the rest. This keeps going back to that storyline so was just too much for me to even try to enjoy it

Firefly Lane series Book #2

This was well written. It was also depressing for most the book, not really the crying type, just ugh. It was a book about the grieving family/friends. There was a lot that dragged out. There was some overlap/recap that was done very well, wasn't overly done.

I do like the characters in this series and in this book. They are real and can relate to them. Nothing in this book really dragged me in.

It was just okay because most the book I felt I could put down, walk away and not yearn to pick it back up. A lot of the book was slow going, but there was enough that kept my interest not to actually put the book down. It was well written enough and I liked the first book a lot so I would read more by this author.
