Very good book, I finished it in a single night. Very informative and puts you in the time of change through the eyes of a Chinese girl, who manages to find power through her own strengths in a world that does not value those characteristics. She does however have privileges as a higher class woman and that gives her opportunities that push the narrative forward. I left the book wanting more, it almost felt like it should have been the first arc of a 3 arc book.
