This was an interesting slant on Monsters. What makes us a monster and how do we evolve in to one? I like that there was history and lore to the story. There was a pretty brutal beginning but also a lull where we learned more. I liked the over-arching theme of the justice for her sister but also the people that flitted in and out of her life. It's gory, just like horror should be, but the gore almost always had a purpose. Well written, quick read. I enjoyed it!
