Sadly, the only interesting/cool thing in this book was that throughout it, Deadpool has the hots for, and then is dating, a nonbinary person, and no one ever feels the need to make any kind of big deal about that aspect of the character. It's just a fact. Otherwise, every page was the typical stuff that reminds me that Deadpool comics are not usually my jam, and that's fine. I read it very slowly while on lunch breaks at work, often while also playing Marvel's Snap! card game on my phone, knowing it would be super low-brow and require very little brain power, which is a good balance to what I'm reading most of the time. Still, I would have liked it to be more interesting.

A fun, harmless read. Technically takes place during the Krakoa era, but this stands alone. I think it's hard to write for Deadpool because of the random fourth wall breaking and the #Random of it all.

In an irreverent and often funny stream of Deadpool chaos. a symbiote, a science experiment, and an assassin competition turn into a tangle of murder, body horror, romance, and betrayal. In Wong's hands and with Coccolo's illustrations, Deadpool makes a new outing as a fast-talking and impulsive villain/anti-hero who's always sure to find his way into a whole lot of weird.

Fun! A conspiracy to make Deadpool give birth to various symbiotes??? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Everything in Marvel comics is symbiotes????? Anyways, I love Alyssa Wong's writing: it is not boring, tired, or dead. Instead joy and fun across the page - that’s comics, baby.
