Another issue largely centered around a singular charcter (or pair, in this case), and as in the previous issue, it serves the serirs well by giving the world and themes a bit more texture.

The world state of the DC universe in this still seems a bit clunky, and the ending line lands way off the mark of what they actually accomplished thematically, but the series is at least firmly intriguing enough to make me want to keep going.

The doomsday clock is ticking...
SpoilerThe Joker teams up with the Mime and Marionette while holding the Comedian and Batman hostage. Meanwhile, the search for Dr. Manhattan continues.

I really liked this issue. I am also kind of sad that it is coming to an end :(

Wow, DC hasn't been my favorite event so far, but I still like it though. But this issue is the best so far, we learn the story of Marionette and Mime, Joker poisoned Batman with a toxine so he is unconscious in this issue, also, The Comedian will show up to at the reunion of the Black Adam followers (The court of owls, The Riddler, Mr. Freeze followers and some others).

A Mime & Marionette issue complete with origin story. Not as comprehensive as the Rorschach issue but still very enjoyable. My second favorite issue thus far. Nice details at the end about Typhoon.

Oh wow!
We're already halfway through this, and now I have more questions then ever. I NEED ANSWERS!!

This issues did show us a little background of Marionette and Mime (or Erika and Marcos) and it was really nice to see where they come from and what made them who they are.
I also particularly enjoyed when The Comedian was like "Surprise Motherfuckers!" and went on a killing spree. Aaaah, that really warms my heart to see.

Other than that I really really really did NOT enjoy seeing Batman wheeled around by The Joker, like dude! What are you even planning to do with him??

Also, Where the heck is Dr. Manhattan???????

Anyways, I CANNOT wait for the next issue because I can't have those precious answers fast enough!

Maybe not the best one so far, but we learn a lot about the origin of those two news heroes/villain/not so sure yet. Like the others, really a series driven by it's storyline which is rich and deep!
