I feel like this book dragged on for a while and I was waiting for something exciting to happen. The last 30% of the book was probably the best at least it picked up a little. I do enjoy Bernadette’s banter though.

I thought this book had potential, but it didn't really grab me. The POV from the daughter kind of YA'd it for me, and I would have liked more POV from Bernadette. She seemed like an interesting person, but we were outside looking in. I could have seen this as a more litfic book about a human, flawed woman trying to find herself in suburbia and motherhood.
The book was trying really hard to be funny, witty funny but came off lol funny, but not that funny. Also, listening to the audiobook, I found the epistolary aspect distracting. I did like the ending and this is a solid book for me, didn't love it but didn't hate it.

For the most part this was an enjoyable read, but wasn’t quite as good as it could’ve been. The ending was a bit of a letdown for me as well. Too unrealistic and a bit anticlimactic
