This is mostly a picture book featuring, as the title indicates, Audubon's masterpieces. It's a really nice reference book and one of the most interesting things about it is the fact that the names of the birds that were in use at the time of Audubon have changed so much, and in some cases many times, over the years. So we get "Yarrell's Goldfinch" instead of "Lesser Goldfinch" or "White-throated Finch" instead of "White-throated Sparrow." Very interesting.

This was a Christmas gift from a very thoughtful son-in-law and I treasure it.
