I received a digital review copy from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Another fun adventure! I really enjoyed the inclusion of research/explanation of the Basque people and their language. The first book felt a little more fantastical, though, as the dragons in this one are primarily only spoken about and don't actually appear until the very end of the book. I would love to read more about the magical creatures in future books!

It was mean spirited and had a cruel humor.

The Unicorn Rescue Society picks up right where they left off - Elliot's second day of school sees a surprising package on his doorstep, containing a book on the history of the Basque region. Next thing Elliot and Uchenna know, they're flying across the Atlantic in Professor Fauna's dilapidated airplane, to rescue a dragon.
Adventure, Danger, and Dragons lurk in this second fantastic romp from Adam Gidwitz. I really loved the introduction to the Basque history and culture that sneaked into this adventure.

Fun, irreverent, and sneakily educational. I enjoyed learning about the Basque culture and mythology, and I really appreciated the built-in pronunciation help. I'm sure kids will love all the dangerous, unbelievable situations these kids find themselves in, although as an adult, I'm totally on Elliot's side. A quick readers advisory note: unlike some series for this age group, it appears that these need to be read in order.

This second book was just as cute as the first. Looking forward to reading the next volume in the series.
